I’m beginning to suspect that the intro to this chapter symbolized charlotte’s fate.
i’m more inclined to think that it’s indicative of the plan the snake goddess has in mind; to eat lolth once she’s powerful enough. after all, lolth IS in material form in that very same mountain.
Actually, in 2168 and in 2191 it’s said that lolth was chased back to her own plane. They even implied that the focusing crystal was destroyed to keep her away.
Not anymore. She returned to her realm after she fought the Beholder King to a standoff. And since I last looked the Coup D’Drow storyline was added to the archives, so you can check for yourself.
is it me or does dark mother look like the cartoon version of the evil enchantress from never ending story ?
