Because he's a dirty old man, Cole. Also it makes sure you don't have any concealed weapons.
I wouldn't rule that out.
"What Are Little Girls Made Of" visual reference.
Roger Korby's Android Duplicator! So, what are the chances that Lumen is an Android himself?
Cool! The 3 Fingered Man is back! I have to wonder if the bird's decoration was his originally…
CoW: Cause butt shots! 😁😸😆 (And very nice butts they are!)
Mr Quill may be the archenemy of the three fingered man. Right now, he may deliberately be staying away and not flaunting the trophy on his hat because he knows it would provoke a battle to the death. Mr Quill is not going to provoke that fight until he's sure he can win.
"I have one question: Why are we naked??"
"…I like boobies."
"She had friends what brought us problems."
"But it doesn't matter none. We got the map."
"Not as such."
"Aye-aye. Have you heard from the pigeon yet?"
"Don't worry yourself, sir. We'll send them to the ocean floor."
CoW: well, that's one way of ensuring no more concealed weapons…
Well, that's one way of ensuring they have no concealed weapons…
If Cole was a true descendant of her great^N grandma Maula she'd take this opportunity to force feed him his own arms and remind him of one of the truths of the universe: a true orc is never unarmed.
. . . Do they even KNOW what webcomic they are in?
Freckles!
t!
In a comic which has given us Dr. "Lumen," and, ahem, borrowed from a Star Trek design, the most meta reference in 22 strips proves to be…
to Rich's own work.
Love it.
t!
"Not as such."
Such a way of saying, "Well, I failed."
Strongarm has a nice sling!

I can't wait to Louise meet him: "Hello, my name is Katherine Louise Stewart. You burned my mother's inn. Prepare to die"
Gen don't worry about that little things (i didn't see very much. Are they so little? Is like with men?
They're covered by her arms.
I think you're both confusing Gen and Cole. Gen is the blonde standing with her hands on her hips, giving the bad doctor a good dose of full frontal. Cole is the long-haired brunette.
Interesting character dynamic—Cole has been the "open" character in the previous scene, more trusting (some might say gullible), while Gen was the "closed" one, more guarded. But now, Cole is the one with "closed" body language, while Gen is "open".
Gen is a hardened badass rogue type — like a female version of Han Solo ("Gen Seul" is rather transparent). So she expected the good crazy doctor living alone with his robots in an abandoned asteroid to not be entirely trustworthy. But that's also why she's not letting her nakedness betray vulnerability. She stays defiant — and ready to fight.
Cole on the other hand is more of a bright-eyed, naive, genuinely nice person. She never expected any of this and is kind of freaking out.
No, i said that Gen didn't worry about that little things.
Is why she didn't cover.
Ah.
Oh, whoops! I'm still getting used to the characters, I guess ^^"
CoW: this way, any magnetic elements of your clothes wouldn't affect the process which can lead to an incorrect transfer that altered the final mind of the subject, I call it the Fan service Effect.
COW: Yes! I was wondering if this was leading into a Star Trek TOS reference! I wish I could remember the episode name. I wonder if the old Kirk-insulting-Vulcans during the imprinting trick will work this time? (Or a variation of it.)
Season 1 "What are Little Girls Made of?"
"Why are we naked?"
"Um…would you prefer your android duplicates to have clothing permanently attached? It makes it a lot harder for them to blend in on covert missions."
Also…it's tradition. "We're all born naked" kind of thing.
Typo in COW panel 3: "principle" should be used here and not "principal".
Yeah, "Principal" is the administrator of a school, while "Principle" is a scientific term for something that is known to affect things in a certain known way.
*sigh* Yes dear. I didn't notice the incorrect word usage in time. Thank you dear. I'll get right on it, DEAR.
It's uplifting how smart they all are, isn't it?
Even as they use the word "typo" incorrectly.
t!
Technically it is a typographical error, as Rich made an error when typing in the dialogue.
Excuse me, I'm late for my Pedants Anonymous meeting.
Nobody has ever succeeded, trying to be smarter than me.
You are simply the latest corpse whose blood washes over my ankles.
t!
I take that back and I apologise.
