"Curse your sudden and inevitable betrayal, etc, when's lunch?"
That sounds like a really interesting setup with Dr. Lumen and the zeite mining facility. I'm always intrigued by stories involving abandoned locations.
How do you have 0.7 of a Hell ?
I don't think those symbols are numbers …
In many mythologies with multiple hells, they are in levels. Apparently, .7th is when the hellevator gets stuck between them (which may be a hell in itself)
Third circle of Hell, seventh sub-circle. Somebody's read Dante's Inferno a lot.
Okay, I've read the entire trilogy repeatedly.
Typo in the third panel of Collective of Worlds 0020. See if you can spot it
Good luuuu-uuuuuck
None I can see. Spellchecker can see it either.
Can't. 😂😂
Mark, if you think there are two "l"s in "replicants," you're mistaken. There is an "i", though the dot over the "i" is hard to see without enlarging the panel.
Bwa haw haw haw hawwwww….
There were two spelling errors. But I CORRECTED them.
I suspect this Dr Lumen is a replicant – have they got a turtle they can flip over to test him?
You don't need an actual turtle for that test.
I don't think is a good idea to gunpoint the person his son love more.
YAFGC: It's complicated to deceive captain Safana
Where's Bond when you need him?
So, Doc…I'm guessing you plan on making copies of us and sending the copies off with our ship?
Doc: Um…no…totally..not my plan…
(Sighs) Why are twist villains always making with the super obvious plans?
"We play the same game at them, me lad. Don't even acknowledge them. Wait 'till we got the quarry in sight… Then we spring a trap! In the meantime, run around about course to confuse them."
I'm really glad we have someone who is fluent in Scurvese on this board.
It's well-written.
I just read it out loud, and repeat for the bumpier bits. It've gotten it around 85% the first time, 15% the second, with once on the third.
t!
I've discovered I really enjoy the dialogue puzzles, this, Glide the Robot in CoW… and just /not/ solving it, seeing what the readers make of it. Fang, Coo, and Socks are a bit of a subversion of that where there's nothing to solve.
I blame Star Wars getting into my brain when I was 7. R2-D2 fascinated me as a character with no face, limited body language, and no speech, that was more relatable and better acted that anyone else in the film. Probably because he’s a blank canvas to project your own feelings into.
Thank you for the translation!
Thanks. I figured out most of this one, but there were some bits that I didn't get.
The Ole Runaround, would be a great name for a ship. I can imagine sailing in circles with a bottle of champers in one hand and the wheel in the other as the coastguard chase after me. 😂
A sailing ship does not go in circles easily (barring mysterious vortexes in the water). You can go in the general direction of the wind and about 80 degrees to the right of left of that direction, or you can tack against it, but tacking against the wind requires a lot of sail adjustment and going back and forth. So going in actual circles would be prohibitively difficult, unless you are rowing. Going in a confusing zig-zag and such is perfectly possible though.
And here we have why the androids are forbidden. Surely someone tried to supplant leaders at some point, leading to this ban (and probably prosecution of those that have the knowledge to implement it)
Lumen's gun looks familiar.
t!
It is unapologetically Phaser-esque.
