Well, you weren’t exactly nice to the people here…
Tell you what, there’s a nice cozy dungeon where you’re welcome to make yourself comfortable till we decide what to do with your lot.
The situation isn’t quite like that. Recall that pretty much all Dark Mistresses are tortured endlessly until they "convert." Not exactly a profession by choice. In almost all cases. So, the good guys now have an infiltration force. The worm seems to be turning upon the snake.
And, by "good guys," I am unironically referring to werewolves, ghosts, dark mistresses, orcs, drow, a minotaur and his children, beholders, Chimera, goblins, a lich, Jone of Orc, harpys, Meegs (who is neutral-chaotic, at best) and numerous other honorable and non-honorable mentions as the saviors of the world.
It’s actually not that dumb to surrender to someone like Flannet. She doesn’t look like a "big authority figure" but more like a person, who likes "harmony" and is about redemption and second chances (-> See her behaviour towards her former husbands).
If Flannet (and i guess she could, if she likes to) can insist, that they are her prisoners, she might even save them from Lucas’ "fangs"
Part of me wants to see them thrown from the tower for being Rannites. Another part remembers that many of the dark mistresses were innocent civilians before being forcefully converted to Ranna’s side and still holds out hopes in freeing them. I’m in favour of plan "Stick ’em in the dungeon for now"
Then I understand the change, as a Keeper runs a dungeon of the S&M variety. Although looking at the Dark Mistresses, I’m pretty sure the coders were well aware of that.
Interesting. Where is "here" if i may ask? I am intrigued by name changes around the world. I was talking about the film Airplane! In the pub the other day with an Aussie who insisted it was called "Flying High"
It’s not their actual skin, but it IS bound permanently to it. Only thing that might take it off is either the dumbass genie, direct intervention from a deity (most likely to be C’thier), or by flaying and casting regeneration in a tedious and probably horrifically painful operation.
Yeah, in the second last panel the shading on the leg is slightly more spaced apart compared to the shading on the stomach, making it feel like the leg is closer even though it’s just loose shading. I’ve seen this done with cross hatching but such simple shading lines also makes the perceived texture of the material seem almost glossy. Subtle but very effective.
Why am I envisioning an interrogation scene with the Dark Mistresses going along the lines of the Monty Python’s Spanish Inquisition Interrogation skit…
"We are going to interrogate you for information, please lie down on this soft and comfortable recliner. Do you wish a cushion for your head?"
It seems to me Rich has already done something along those lines: a nice bath, comfy bed, etc… I just can’t remember when. Maybe when the Dark Mistresses were first introduced?
It was when Jais was interrogating a captured Rannite DM. She got the poor girl to spill everything she knew, by threatening to (shudder) be NICE to her.

"Oh boy did we pick the wrong side of this fight."
Yes. Yes you did.

Reminds me of an old Bugs Bunny cartoon about the revolutionary war.
Sam: "Ah’m a Hessian who’s learned his lesson! If ya cain’t beat ’em, join em!"
Wasn’t it "I’m a Hessian without no aggression"?
Hmm. Think they’ll enjoy the dungeon, It’ll be like being back under the Mountain.
They could still make it a punishment for them. Simply chain them up & have no one torturing them at all.
They are mascochists… not suicidal or stup… okay, ALL stupid
But clearly their stupidity has limits, since they’ve actually realised how much trouble they’ve got themselves into..
They’re sadomasochists. They get pleasure from other’s and their own pain.
Honestly, a very rational decision. Quite impressive and intelligent.
As far as Mistresses go, this is the equivalent of "thinking outside of the box." It can be rare, but still happens occasionally, I think.
Now, how can they somehow get Flannet to marry Agaera? Because I am loving murder by marriage.

They might have a better chance of survival if they take off the "uniform" & show they have faces.
It isn’t a uniform. It’s their skin now.
I take it you never played DF & DF2?
(You mean DK and DK2, right?)
Is that what they labeled it where you are? It was Dungeon Fracas 1 & 2 here.
Oh, okay. Here it was "Dungeon Keeper" and "Dungeon Keeper II"

I’m in Canada. Picked the games up in Montreal Quebec when I was living there. Where is ‘here’ for you?
UK here. And we had Dungeon Keeper – it was where called DF which interested me. I knew you were in Canada, Rich.

THAT LAST way they would enjoy
No, My background is strictly old-style D&D.
Hope you find a way to keep them around. I’ve always liked the Dark Mistresses.
Yup, good plan.
Also: I’m delighted that Flannet is beginning to amass an army.
t!
I really love your economy of lines, the way you indicate mass and gesture. That rear view in the fourth frame is just delightful.
Heh… thanks! It was fun to draw too.

And here, all this time, I thought they were just wearing tight rubber suits of some kind!
