The funniest part is it’s kind of largely Glon’s fault this all happened. Anyone remember his little adventure of political intrigue involving a certain set of captured elves?

Partially. The Dungeon Keeper Fiasco was the main reason the Bugbear King was driven out.
But the defeat of his forces at the hands of the vile usurper Runt (long live the true king Fang!) began the process.
The true king’s army gathers in the shadows, awaiting the day he will return to claim his throne.
Of course the true king has better things to do than plot his return with his armies. Or maybe he just lacks the attention span, who knows?
