Due to having been out at a strings concert (my son on 1st violin!) and my computer setting and resetting itelf in and out of Windows 11 compatibility, I obviously didn’t get the new strips up today. 🙁
I may have to resign myself to the notion that once a week is a perfectly valid updating schedule. But if I can get a Monday/Wednesday/Friday series up in a sitting, I will.

Well poo. I start a little later on Thursdays and have been using that little piece of morning to update the website. I intended to do so today, but naturally my antivirus checker updated itself and needed to reboot. Which, of course, is a slow and labourious process for a bloated PC with Windows 10. So I lost my little window of time so to speak. I MAY be able to get it published tonight for tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Aaaand Galactipol caught them. Nothing is ever simple in this universe… especially when smuggling "robot parts", whatever they actually are.
Hm, now that I think about it… are robots in this comic going to be drawn like characters or made like ships?
I don't think so. I've designed a kind of standard robot that I can draw okay. But if I do any complicated ones I might consider doing something else. It would mean building functioning models, though. And I'm not too confident about that.
Did she use those special parts to make her robot friends?

Second speech bubble is less clear.
"If any do an be giving it over you'll be pain for with your life!" That doesn't seem right, makes no sense. I think the gist of it is "If ye not be givin' it over, you'll pay for it with your life" but I can't really get there phonetically.
I think it's "if you don't be giving it over, you'll be paying for it with your life"

That would have been a perfect line for Katherine, if she would have exchanged words with Fang before meeting with Captain Ahr (Who is currently missing form the tag list, by the way).

…and on the other, I'm not sure I'm ready to be a part of a community. It almost never goes well.
So far so good. We had VERY few issues on the Forums, and only the occasional bad apple here in the comments. The community is smaller now, I guess because of all the massive posting gaps in the comic, but it's a good group. But there are others who have already sent their apologies because of the platform itself. Not to worry, we'll keep conversations going here too.
Keep in mind the Forum collapsed through neglect and a bombardment of spambots, not any community meltdown.

Strangely enough, i DO have some adapted spelljammer ships for my Sapphira setting, meanwhile the other half of the major cast also has access to technological starships (anathema to the elves of Sapphira, but Traveler does not GAFAA) strangely though, his fleet is heavily inspired by a demi-god who watched waaaaaay too much sci-fi and anime as a mortal, and wanted to make it real before she died, little did folks know that would be what would ignite her divine spark)
What's the Sapphira setting? When I google it I get a profile of a drag performer and I assume that's not what you're using.

Not his first, but to clarify, it's with a strings youth music program here in Nova Scotia (Unique to NS, I believe). He'd never go professional with it, but he's good and he enjoys playing. I hope he sticks with some kind of music program. His grandpa is an amateur violinist too. Actually my father's a pianist, violinist, guitarist…. you name it, he'll make music out of it. But he did extensive violin, piano, and guitar lessons.
As a father myself I’m naturally inclined to believe my kids are the most talented and brilliant people on the planet, but I’m frequently amazed and impressed with the achievements of both of them.
Thanks for being patient with comic publication. I love doing them and I'll get them out as quick as I can.
Some of the webcomics I read update once in a month, once in a week is a luxury. Besides, we've waited for YAFGC before. It's okay.

You know Rich, we told you a couple of time, we are happy for any and every new strips, whenever it comes. Of course, we won't object if they happen regularly, but as time proved it before, we will stick around even if not, just like some ghosts in Greyfort. Because you know, we really like it here! 🙂
So don't worry about us going anywhere, find the pace that works the best for you!
