In forever, I may be able to solve a Rubiks Cube too.

If you ARE interested in solving it, this is, by far, the best page I have found. It’s step by step and even dummies like me can solve it.

      https://www.youcandothecube.com/solve-it/3×3-solution

(Now solving it WITHOUT the website, that’s a different matter 😛 )

I can do it! It takes a bit of time to learn but once you get the hang of it it’s pretty easy. Sphynx probably holds the world record, if all she does is sit here and try it.

I bet game night at Turg’s is the BEST GAME NIGHT EVER!!

        Between a Minotaur’s love of mazes and a Sphinx’s love of puzzles. . .

Happy to see she survived! She was in a pretty dangerous position when last seen.

As a parent, I get it. Some things really are universal.

A Sphynx doing a 3×3 cube? shouldn’t it at the very least be a 5×5?

My pencil slipped a bit on the number of lines. It’s inconsistent with the one in panel 2.

Sphynx has an interdimensional Cube. Each time she twists it, completely different axes rotate into play, with new side lengths.

I bet when no one is looking she pats it around the floor with her paws.

"I didn’t touch it. It rolled over there by itself."

"…but dear, it’s orbiting on a closed timelike loop."

"Yeah, it just DOES that sometimes."

Hmm, I like that idea – but I think there’s a twist. Her cube is quantum-entangled with any number of other cubes across the multiverse. Whenever she twists it, it completely messes up somebody else’s cube. That would explain so much about my inability to solve them.

That might be my go-to excuse from now on when I mess up puzzles. Or hell, when I mess up *anything*.

            "Sphynxes are to blame."

It’s the Sphynx equivalent to when the cat sits on your book while you’re trying to read.

I believe that is called mimicing, basically cats want to be involved with whatever you’re doing so they try to join in but they just don’t understand our advanced customs. people have had luck creating decoy versions of things like keyboards and yoga mats, if the cat has it’s own version of whatever you’re doing it’ll usually do its own thing with you… unless your cat is just an asshole who likes messing with you.

Decoy keyboard? Wouldn’t using regular keyboard, just another one for cat, be CHEAPER?

She could have more than one cube. 3×3 is just for warming up. At the end of the day, she is using a 21×21 one.

That’s what they call one of them *complex* puzzles, where the best solution is only 70% effective, but it also causes the question to change, and so on…

Look Turg, just like you didn’t want your kid to run off into a potentially dangerously situation with Runt, she just wants to keep them safe for *at least* five minutes.

Is it weird that she made me a little teary?

Sometimes all you can do is keep the people you love safe for as long as you can. Logic is a distant second to love when you care about someone.

So called people are monsters as well
Which… has kinda been one of the big points of this comic: you shouldn’t judge an individual by what species they belong to (or an entire species by one individual)

She plays a rubik’s cube, a weird but fitting toy for a sphinx.

except it’s basically the size of a person, it has to be custom made.

I bet someone would buy a functional person sized rubik’s cube.

If cats had opposable thumbs, that’s the expression a cat would wear while working a Rubik’s cube.

Forget the cube! The first thing cats would be working if they gained opposable thumbs… would be the can opener! 😛
