Not so much giving up as deciding it’s not worth following orders any more. It’s not like she’s getting paid for this, or going to face consequences for quitting and going elsewhere. Let someone else do the dirty work.
I don’t think she caught up with them. She was chasing Maran, but got ambushed by the raptors. Lucas and Maran seem to have simply stumbled across her catching her breath after the fight, and she decides to just sod off. An acceptable outcome for the moment, but if I were Lucas I’d make a point of organizing someone to either capture or kill her once the dust settles. She’s still an evil werewolf running wild and uncontested in the forest that should be dealt with.
See, this is what we keep the evil characters around for.
You *do* want to fight Havrah – and not only that, you want to make certain she’s presented you with an encumbrance to things panning out according to your wishes for absolutely the very last time.
There’s a possibility that Havrah isn’t pulling any scheme, just realised after the branch to the face, the rock to the head, the raptor pack to everywhere else that Niko didn’t really give a damn about her since Niko did send her off alone after Maran, probably knowing that if Havrah didn’t catch up in time that Maran would return with allies, and Havrah would be facing multiple enemies at once…
Given we’ve seen some of the creatures that are considered allies, Havrah wouldn’t stand a chance. Since there’s a good chance Cadugan carries silver arrows… The Fox has a silver blade… Bob can disintegrate… Eddy has his magic… Fang is… Fang.
Indeed. According to what Maran said, Havrah was with Niko because she liked their lifestyle. Now it might just stopped to be fun for her…

So…. is she giving up, or is she just letting them go where she wanted to take them?
Which ever makes her look better to whomever ends up winning.

Time to find a hunting ground of her own.
Someone knows when to call it quit 🙂
Sneaky – reverse psychology.
Why would she go to all the trouble to catch up with them just to say she’s not bothered. I smell a wererat!

She might plan to leave the forest and generally Niko’s range.
What was her motivation for chasing Maran again?
Oh… Niko…
War is over if you want it?
Sneaky, sneaky, hiding a Christmas lyric in there.

Called it!
Why do I have the feeling, its not the last time we see her?
After surviving the dino attack she’s decided she’s had enough for today and is going home?
