Naaah, alignment is a matter of perspective.
In D&D, that perspective is from the point of the human race. Probably.
No, more of a ‘re-awakening’, he was never really ‘evil’, just tricked into _thinking_ he was evil, not saying he hasn’t _done_ evil, but we all know how those things worked out
Lewi as always been more or less neutral
Is Lewie thinking of Charlie, or Arachne, as the Spirit Vessel?
_We_ know it’s the dearly (by some) departed Charlie, but is Lewie thinking of her or someone else?
And he knows that Arachne bears the Spider Tattoo, we have heard her talking to someone (possibly Wolf, or even Charlie) about what it means, but not sure if Lewie was in the background or not

Also I’m not 100% sure, but I vaguely recall that Arachne’s talk about the Order of the Spider happened in the storyline where Queen Elzear’bith was deposed, which is not back in the archive yet. Which means Lewie cannot have seen it yet in this comic. But maybe he learned it from the visions.

Seems kinda sudden, but that’s what happens when you have to explain where and what the hell a major character was doing during the time they were gone.
So that’s Lewie’s motivation for deciding to help the Bloodhand family, he’s trying to gain allies for Ata and prevent them from joining the wrong side. Let’s hope that he’s right in his thinking and hasn’t been corrupted.
Sudden? He started off as a good character, he only started to turn evil under Kila’s guidance. He’s never been very good at being evil. He had a shocking revelation at the end of the "Lich of the Rings" story, he’s been wandering under the caverns ever since trying to sort himself out, then he meets Ata (and Dewcup) and has been nursed along by Ata for a ‘significant length of time’ (which, I’ll admit, is difficult to get across when you’re summarizing, but it’s supposed to have been a while.)
It’s not as sudden as it seems.

I almost wish I could post my source timeline, a complete annotated history of the YAFGC world from the time of creation to the YAFGC present, but too many secrets would be given away.
Besides, it’s 40 pages long so far. It’s sort of a YAFGC Silmarillion.
Oooh, but that sounds soo cooool. 40 pages!! Wow! No wonder your internal consistancy is so solid through a couple thousand comics. My admiration soars ever higher.
Yeah, easy to keep track of plots and twists when most of the details have already been mapped out, it’s just getting the intimate details and connections done that is the fun part 😀

This, by the way, is one of the things that makes YAFGC shine. There are some wonderful moments of humanity scattered, like the most precious of gems, through all the mayhem and humor.
Couldn’t ask for any better adventure.

Lewie knows "powerful creatures" that might serve as good allies.
Turg and his Sphinx and their kids? There would have to be a way to release the Sphinx from any magics holding her in the Tomb of Temshutep (if she’s even still/ever was under any such spell forcing her to be Guardian there).
If anyone in this world has enough magic power, Lewie would be a top candidate, and the Tomb of Ranna and the lost city would be a somewhat ideal location. Can hardly think of any other candidates that would be so likely to be able to resist the effects of Ranna.
Turg and Sphinx may be bound to the Tomb (technically, just Sphinx, but Turg ain’t leaving her unless she tells him, and certainly not for too long), but the kids could possibly go and help

Oh, and totally knew Lewie was kissing his sister on the forehead (by the way, which sibling is the older of those two? obviously the doofus brother who started the whole mess was the eldest of the three)
