You sure Arachne is a Drow and not a Troll? 😀

Those races seem more closely related than any drow OR troll would ever admit.

I thought drow were resistant, if not immune to poison? Charlotte might be able to imbibe doses that would kill the grey elf and show the symptoms delayed, if at all, or of course she might already have an antidote ready.

They might be resistant to poison, but they’re not immune. Poisoning is a socially acceptable method of advancement in drow society.

Actually, I’m pretty sure that’s just regular wine.
…But they’re not about to tell the Grey Elf having a heart attack in panic over there that!

I agree. Why waste perfectly good poison on a prank?

I think PopeLucifer’s point was not that there’s any actual poison in play, but that the Grand Dame ought to have known better than to take Charlotte’s sipping the booze as a sign that it was safe in the first place. If there HAD been poison, Charlotte could have had any number of ways of surviving it (even without considering the "expendable loss" angle that she played on to scare the grey elf.)
