The dragon-head already sort of has rocks for brains… I wonder if looking into a gorgon’s face would have any effect on him? Somehow, with as magical as a Chimera is, I suspect he is immune though.
Well, given the vast degree of sense Chimera would have, a Gorgon or Rannite DM would find it pretty hard to sneak up on him, secondly since he’s in protector mode any gorgon who even attempted to look at him funny (let alone use her gaze attack) would be made very very dead.
Also for the size, we all know Chimera is about the size of a standard dragon.

Well, he _is_ the Mountain Guardian afterall, he would have helped during the Lloth slash Beholder King fight, except Lion was having one of his ‘cat naps’ 😛

Chimaera, being primal chthonic creature, basically an embodiment of the powers that created the world itself, equals in power the Gods, such as Ranna/Ch’tier. At the peak of their might.
What for him the mere minions, one or a hundred?… While I like the idea of "aaahh-chooo…oopss?" effect, I hope none of them try to get to the kids. Or the story would come to an abrupt end.
No, even if they get rid of Aggie, Celena and the DM’s, they still have to deal with Rancid Herself (and save Charlie)

What *was* Chimera guarding anyway?
As far as most people know, Black Mountain itself. He intercepts anyone arriving, with… uh… MOSTLY successful rates.
What we and a few others have seen, is he has his own horde of treasure hidden away in his lair, which for a time held the lamp with the idiot genie.
Possibly some other important things are hidden in that horde that have yet to be revealed… or it could just be a pile of shiny things; he IS part dragon.
