If anyone was wondering if Glon was going to hold a grudge, I think this answers your question.

No, Glon doesn’t hold grudges, but he _does_ repay debts

I’m wondering what just cracked there, and if there was nerve damage. Still, she brought it on herself…

normally with a stretching machine the first thing to happen is the sockets popping out. so it was probably that.

Yeah, look closely ate her shoulders. You can see what popped.

NOT the best time to kiss up to Glon….

She really should have kept her mouth shut, waited until he had left, then asked Yarrick to get her down. That would probably have worked well. But I think we have established that her family is not long on smarts. I hope any children take after Yarrick.

From the image, it looked like her shoulders were pulling out of their sockets.

Yes, and based on the sound a broken spine as well. I love it!

Well, there we go. "Reap what you sew", and such.

    Ouchie.

      May 2, 2016, 4:12 pm | # | Reply

      Vocabulary nitpick:

The saying is "reap what you sow"; with "sow", as in "to plant seeds", not "sew", as in "to stitch thread through fabric" ("reap" of course meaning "to harvest").

It’s a minor difference, but "harvest what you stitch" makes a bit less sense.

I wonder if Glon’s killing her or just hurting her a lot.

      May 2, 2016, 9:47 am | # | Reply

He will probably leave her in extreme suffering, severely damaged, but not quite dead yet, and let her own people decide whether it is worth the effort to try to save her. I suspect he doesn’t care to take the time away from his wife right now to finish Dagmar off. But I could be wrong.

In a world without healing magic what he just did would at the very least have left her crippled for life. Since the world of YAFGC does operate on standard fantasy game universe rules, though…

They have all sorts of other magic, plus Gods and Goddesses, so they would have access to healing magic (either potions or prayers)

Except their local priestess has become a snake-head. For their sake, I hope they have other healers.

Just thought of something: unless one of the guards or Mistresses had time to talk, how would Glon, who had been ‘locked up’ in the Harem, know that Dagmar had joined Charlie? Specially seeing how she was left hanging upside down in a torture device? And seriously doubt Shaija is currently in any condition to explain everything

    • Eolhin
      May 2, 2016, 1:50 pm | # | Reply

Well, Harem = rumors. He was probably hearing about a lot of things soon after they happened. **shrugs**

    • Neksuscat
      May 2, 2016, 1:56 pm | # | Reply

He didn’t knew. She put him in harem, and used him as her sex toy. I bet he has something against her. Don’t you? :p

      May 2, 2016, 1:57 pm | # | Reply

Well, given that the Mistresses were running around free alongside Dagmar’s guards and he and his party weren’t, it would be a safe bet that Glon would have worked out that Dagmar had made a deal with Ran-Ran-Rancid Charlie suit. Not that the deal went as smoothly or painlessly as Dagmar had hoped.

      • Guesticus
        May 2, 2016, 2:55 pm | # | Reply

Yes, the Mistresses were running loose because they had _conquered_ the palace, both Daggie and Yar were placed in the torture rooms, Shaija was being converted because she’s a priestess, at no time should he have suspected what really happened

And if he had heard rumours that Charlie was anywhere near the area, he would _not_ have remained sitting idly by, at the very least he would have attempted a break out (remember, last time they ‘met’, he snapped ‘her’ neck, or at least choked ‘her’ to death, which means he would be thinking she was going to be looking for revenge or payback)

      • Guesticus
        May 2, 2016, 2:58 pm | # | Reply

It’s just too easy to forget that _we_ know what has been happening, but someone like Glon should _not_ (unless he ripped her arms out of their sockets because he objected to being in a nice plush cushy Harem, or _really_ really still held resentment for that time with Wolf)

        • Mr. Casual
          May 2, 2016, 4:25 pm | # | Reply

Maybe he made a guess because he was seeing gnoll guards alongside the mistresses. Though, yeah, it is a bit of a stretch that he would assume Dagmar and/or Yarrick behind it if they were both being tortured.

My guess is that it’s all about the tone. Yarrick was humble and pleading, while Daggy still has the tone of a politician who isn’t really showing any humility or respect. That, and Glon _really_ doesn’t like being made a prisoner or a slave, heh.

          • Guesticus
            May 2, 2016, 5:02 pm | #

Why should Daggie be showing humility? It wasn’t like it was Glon who was torturing her, and she did thank him, several times

          • Mr. Casual
            May 2, 2016, 9:36 pm | #

Because she’s in trouble and asking for help from someone she was intent on enslaving not too long ago? And that’s what I mean about the tone, her thanks all rung with the falseness of someone who’s just going through the motions. "Thank you, thank you! Now please be a subservient minion and get me out of this mess." She’s not sorry, she’s not displaying that she really needs help.

But! All of this is just a guess, anyway, as none of us really know what they’re thinking. Just trying to come up with some plausible reason why Glon would do that to her. 🙂

          • Guesticus
            May 2, 2016, 11:12 pm | #

Yeah, those (valid) guesses are based on information that Glon shouldn’t have

Pretty much every where Glon goes, he ends up in a prison of some sort

            May 3, 2016, 6:23 pm | #

How about the simple explanation. No matter what else happened Shaija would not have been tortured if the Hyeesha hadn’t captured them.

      May 2, 2016, 7:19 pm | # | Reply

What you are forgetting is that Dagmar is the one who had him shoved into the harem and his friends imprisoned.

        May 2, 2016, 11:11 pm | # | Reply

Actually, have mentioned (a couple times already) about Daggie putting him back in a Harem, and nearly all of them have been imprisoned at one time or another (they _are_ ‘monsters’ afterall)

The point is: _we_ know she deserves it, but _he_ shouldn’t

          Three notes:

          1. Given the way Daggie is sucking up to him, it’s easy to assume she tried the same thing with Ranna.
          2. There wasn’t any visible/audible fighting. If Daggie had put up a fight, the harem would’ve noticed/heard. More evidence for the assumption that Daggie sucked up to Ranna.
          3. Daggie offered Shaija to Ranna on a silver platter in plain sight of her. Even if Glon doesn’t know, Shaija does, and she’s conscious enough to tell him (or give Daggie a death glare).

While Rich may not have shown HOW he knows (or whether he did it regardless of knowing), there’s no reason he shouldn’t suspect/know something’s up.

I don't think we've ever seen them meet before, so I can only assume that Yarrick was involved in capturing the group this time off-panel.

Holy shit that's brutal. Normally the "stretchy thing" scenes aren't so extreme. I can only assume that someone has told him that she betrayed them (and more specifically Shaija) to the Rannites. It seems extremely over the top just for her arresting them, and he isn't in the blood rage anymore.
