— In strip 1400, if anyone’s wondering. I had to go look. Let me save you some time. Wow, more than a thousand strips ago.

Oh, good. Finally some time-synchronization! 😆

So, this is before Jone got cooked by the Adwen’s wyvern ( http://yafgc.net/comic/1389-night-fight/ ). But, after she forged that fearsome meatchopper ( http://yafgc.net/comic/1279-midnight-oil-burned/ ).

First time she goes out raiding with it: http://yafgc.net/comic/1300-in-the-village/

But, I missed any encounter she had directly with Lewie, so this scene today appears to have happened "off-camera." A whole lot of things I had been speculating about character interactions just got flushed. Time to fire up the Speculation Engine again. 😉

And, now Lewie is on the hunt …….

That would have been: "Of course you know…this means war!"

Probably both 😀

"You realize, of course, this means war."

I believe that both Bugs & Daffy have used that line at various times. I’m certain a variation has been used in many situations … just don’t know if it was popularly coined before Bugs & Daffy.

This really made me think of Richard, from Looking For Group. And, if Richard ever does say that, I am hiding on the other side of the Sun, as hopeless as even that would be.

It should be known by now that I’m a huge WB cartoon fan. I have made many references to them over the course of the strip. When Chimera got into battle with Whisper the Shadowdragon, for example.

And then there’s the Doctor Who comics I did with the Doctor being played by Bugs and the Master being played by the Coyote, Daffy as Omega….

You know, Lewie could have avoided that if he’d have just made that left turn at Albuquerque…
O.o

I can’t wait to see Jone get blown up again. She just bugged me as a character.

The Jone arc was, now that I reread most of it, was actually definitely one of the best ones! Very bold, very different, very adult. Not everyone enjoyed it, I gathered, but I think it was excellent and intelligent.

It’s rather tough to get through the archive of a long ongoing comics. Not that I’m complaining, but a link with the number of the page and _without_ its title might be readdressing to the "full name" page. I know, it may be not soo easy and important thing to do, but the old links are entirely dead by now, and it’s a pity for me for two reasons, (1) navigation and search got harder, and (2) the links from the amateur russian translation are as dead as all the other links are (those who can usually prefer the original, some stick to the company and discuccion there; and navigation by page number works _there_, just the links to the original are no longer valid).
