Have to ask why the tags all say "Gaggia" rather than "Gadgia"?

Yeah…. see thing is, I spelled it Gaggia in my original notes, but after a while forgot. It’s pronounced "gad-GEE-ah" and I started spelling it phonetically once I started short-handing the strips with her in them. So either spelling is correct at the moment and I’m trying to decide how to actually spell it "officially". I’m leaning towards Gaggia, but I have no current intentions of going back and correcting all the old strips. So we’ll see how that works out.
This is not the only case. I’ve waffled over "Greyfort" and "Grayfort", "Lucas" was once spelled "Lukas", and the desert region is usually "Uagi" but was a few times called "Uragi". I say it’s because it’s all medieval style, when spelling didn’t matter so much.

This is also one of those things that makes literary analysis types talk about "’Watsonian’ vs. ‘Doylist’", ie. the two differing points of view, on whether you are looking at the ‘Sherlock Holmes, Private Consulting Detective for Hire’ stories as being the memoirs of Sherlock’s roommate, the narator Dr. Watson, or a crafted fable by writer Sr. Conan-Doyle ( https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WatsonianVersusDoylist ). In this case, are we looking at YAFGC as an example of Rick’s craftsmanship, or are we trying to take Phil the Valet as an authority on the official spelling (!) of an Orcish name?!? As you say, Mr. Morris, we really shouldn’t sweat pseudo-Medieval-ish spelling that much; we are just fortunate that we aren’t subjected to transposed ‘f’s and ‘s’s! We just saw an in-Story example, last strip, of how Queen Maula’s family name has changed over the generations…and shortly before that, how locals often say Jone’s family name as one word whereas her mother clearly considers it to be ‘White Eye’, two words. Whereas Lady Shadowtalker might be a scholar, I wouldn’t bet money on Philian being literate, let alone thinking about how "Gaggia" is spelt.

What’s the Red Orcs’ play? That orc doesn’t look like she could bear children. I’d call this a deliberate insult and a declaration of war.
Gadgia looks okay as orcs go. Ibkis could be the best the Rockjaws got.
But the Red Orcs are asking for a fight.

How so? Her hips look pretty wide, if that’s the consideration. Definitely wider than Gadgia’s. I mean, I’m no expert on orc anatomy. Also, if you’re just talking about her appearance, then that’s kind of rude as hell? She COULD be considered the prettiest orc among the Red Orcs; it’s just that the rest of the ‘attractive’ characters we’ve seen have adhered pretty well to the Ameri-European standard of beauty.

I think it’s who she is, not what she looks like. She must be the chieftain’s daughter that Maula demanded be handed over for political reasons, more than appearance or fertility

I assume zimriel meant because she looks old – but again, can we as humans really judge orc age from appearance that well?

    Glon… what were you expecting?
    Orcs are orcs.
