A Raptor can inflict on a pounce a maximum damage of 48 hp. Which is more than half of Eddie’s HP, making him staggered (and almost needing a massive damage fort roll or die)…
Hence, Eddie going down like a sack of potatoes in melee.
And here I thought how nice it was to actually see a FEATHERED maniraptor for a change.
(Though even the real-world Deinonychus were only about half the height of a standard man. It took the discovery of Utahraptors to finally find one that could actually look OVER a man’s head. Magically enhanced Deinonychus, though? Eddy’s in for a world of hurt).

Could be a immature Utahraptor. Those suckers got pretty big! About 7 meters in length.. Height looks to be about 2 to 3 meters.
