It's not like Bob managed to cuddle all 150 of the Harpy sisters, and he likely didn't do anything more involved than that with them (I have no idea how beholders reproduce, or how close to actual sex one could even attempt with a harpy).

so are Gelatinous Cubes..normally, still the little one in the comic manages to be male, so i think the same applies to beholders (also seing as bob has a "mom" and a "dad" i dont think the monster manual applys to the comic in this case)
