Hmm… I guess that the high elves are actually descendants of us humans, judging from that (that, or there was some kind of great reset there, and they forgot much of their knowledge.
That said, I wonder when the raptors will arrive? Randall has been ready for a long time, however I’m not quite sure about our heroes here.

Nah. Elvish just older. It existed for longer and collected more quirks, inconsistencies and historical baggage.
