Arachne rocks. And apparently she’s rocked since she was a small child.

Know not supposed to ask, just how old is Arachne? Not looking for a specific age, just a general idea (or are Drow in this world Immortal unless killed?)

I think all Elves can get a lot older than normal People. Maybe double the age or something?

So pretty much, once they reach ‘adult-hood’ they stop ageing? Or do they take decades to get through puberty?

I had been going more or less by old D&D elf aging standards without following their actual charts. Different species of Elf age differently and live different lengths, all much longer than Humans. Generally they’re not immortal like Tolkien Elves.

At least in the AD&D 1st Edition rules, different Elf tribes did indeed have different lifespans. Wood Elves could live for about 1000 years or so, up to about 2500-3000 years for Grey Elves. Heck, even Half-Elves could live for about 350 years or so.

Reading the Dark Elf trilogy right now. Seems like Drow typically live around 500 years. There are exceptions, with one having lived an think over 1000, but think it likely that one is using a trick.

The issue with drow is that the average life expectancy includes how much time they spend killing each other. They have the capability to live that long, but they usually get murdered before they get the chance.

Also, I never read the ‘Dark Elf trilogy’ and I strayed from the published D&D material long ago. 🙂

I’d forgotten how powerful and balanced the 1st section is, textually, and then the balance of the words around him, with that expression. Another potent combination of illustration and text! And then Wolf’s eyes, and Arachne as a child, of course!
