It’s kinda pointless asking permission to do a thing AFTER doing the thing.
But yeah, links are permitted. WordPress doesn’t hotlink them for comments unless I do them. But you can paste in the entire link. Like you did.
That being said: It may be unreasonable, maybe I'm just very old fashioned here… but when people post links into the inner workings of the site it feels like someone peeking in my window and inviting others to come and gawk at my messy bedroom.
Sorry I didn't get the strip up properly, I just needed a nudge.
There are two reasons why I don’t upload lots of strips in advance to let them get released on schedule.
1: I rarely have the time and/or inspiration to draw that many ahead of time anymore.
2: People click the wp UNPUBLISHED content link and spoil them all.
Like an old Disneyland ride, the site doesn't work as well as it used to. It can't archive things in order anymore, it doesn't auto-upload the comic images anymore, logos disappear, links fail, notifications go to the wrong places, lots of little annoying things it doesn't do like it used to.
And I can't help but wonder: How much of that is because of people slipping in through the unlocked catdoor leading to the backyard and poking around in there because they're too impatient to read the comics as they appear on my schedule or because I made a mistake uploading comics?
Yes, both.
Jenny does intricate renderings and plays with textures. She's very good at it, and hopefully it will come in handy in her future Engineering career.
Alex draws more like I do, cartoons, expressive, dynamic. In fact, I'd say he's much better (and sometimes, much funnier) than I was at his age. However, he doesn't like to share his art except in special circumstances (like in birthday cards and stuff) and wisely has no interest in pursuing a career in it. He's much more into marine biology. He does like YAFGC, though, so maybe someday I can convince him to do a guest strip or two. His skill level is such that you’d be able to tell it wasn’t me because of the style, but you wouldn’t know he was only 14. But like I said, he doesn’t like to display his art, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
Hm, something went wrong…
Hahaha 🤣 a very appropriate title for when something goes haywire! Bummer that the strip didn't load, but great timing of the title
Glad it's not just me
Until the above strip is fixed, you can see it here – https://www.yafgc.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/2026-01-21-3584-wanna-explain-that.jpg
…that is, if links are allowed.

t!: bahaha!
Rich: I can see why that'd be upsetting! I hope things improve and your day gets better!
Yeah… it's been okay. Meh, at best. Thanks, though. Hearing from you guys always makes it a bit better.
You too, Punk Tiger. Didn’t mean to attack you or anything. My points stand as valid, but I’m just grouchy today. Rawr.
To answer Safana's question: The Middle.
As in, she's getting into The Middle of a conflict.
t!
Odd question: do either of your kids draw or sketch?
Yes, both.

We still have the picture of his Lego Fang to admire.
Hey Saf, not Glonda's fault that Captain Callum's crazy.
Or that Glonda's friend was talking to Glonda's friend's friend who had a treasure map the pirates wanted.
