Can’t say for Ken exactly, but a typical ottyugh has only one eye-paddle, the other two are covered in teeth/barbs/spurs and presumably used for shoveling offal into their gaping maws.
Let’s face it…There are quite a few monster-species that certainly qualify as "sloppy eaters." Ken, for example, represents one of those species & if there are any Harpies left, they qualify too.
It’s a common plot-point; Every time the protagonist(s) clear one obstacle out of the way, there’s another right behind it. It’s a tried-and-true method of writing stories…I can dig it.
If his other "paddle" was free he’d be giving himself a facepalm.
(How many eye-paddles does Ken have anyway?)

Shoveling? Please! Ken is a refined and noble being.
He uses a spoon. And the good china.
I did specify a typical otyugh. Ken has manners whilst dining on delicious, fresh feces.
Hmm, on second thoughts it’d be hard to facepalm without having a face or a palm…
You’d think he was applauding & it would actually be like an Otyugh facepalm-equivalent
Nahh.. Slap eyes over mouth. Face palm.
wel she did say it would be long and tough
On the bright side, that’s a good start for some nice sturdy fortifications.
Ken’s okay! They won’t have to worry about waste disposal on their journey now. 🙂
Yeah, that many creatures leaving a trail that can be easily followed would make an already bad situation just simply offal.
I can’t tell if there’s a joke in your comment, or if a path of entrails would be a likely occurrence.

Well, crap.
"Guys, this is gonna take a while!"

Well, they have the hope of getting to their destination at least.
I am going to be pedantic and observe that the word balloon is pointing at his eyes.
t!
Gee, it’s like an entire mountain collapsed around here or something…
