Well, not exactly. Runt’s memory was altered, so that makes it just Eddy aaaand… Fang also should know that he drew the axe… however:
1. He may not have such a good memory.
2. He may not have known the meaning of that axe.
3. And if he didn’t, I doubt he’d remember some random axe even if he actually has a perfect memory.
4. Fang would need to complete a sensible sentence in order to tell somebody the truth.
5. People of Elegrost probably wouldn’t want Fang on the throne anyway.
6. I’m sure Eddy has the means to keep Fang away from the throne.
7. So does Runt.

Unless I am missing something, it sounds like the King is presently attending Lucas’s wedding…to Cadugan? Which is very cool in one way, but the family curse doesn’t say the wife will die horribly. It says the spouse will. And while it was made against the Barons Greyfort rather than the Dukes Greyfort, is that really enough to risk Cadugan’s life or did I read the "Congratulations," and "I trust you’ll do the same for us," totally wrong?
There was a strip a while back that made it clear that this is Lucas and Cadugan’s wedding.
And they figure that since the curse was aimed at whoever holds the title "Baron of Greyfort", the Duke should be okay. That being said, Lucas did hold that title previously.
Ah, OK. I must have missed it somehow. I sense an archive binge in my future. A true pleasure, though, so no worries there.

Hunh… good question. I just hadn’t thought about that. "Betrothed" is probably the more appropriate term, actually, but I’ve never gone too far out of my way to make my Elegrostians speak too forsoothly. It’s too easy to get embarrassingly wrong.
Since someone mentioned it in the comments… what are Eddy and the other mages, wizards and witches up to?

As long as the royal wedding isn’t around a full moon, he should be okay. He hasn’t been on any adventures since his change though. I still can’t wait for him to go on his first adventure since then with the ‘monster’ side of the family and have a full moon occur (or just need to change for some other reason).
I can just hear the explanation to Glon’sl kids now "Don’t worry, uncle Lucas won’t bite… or if he does, bite him back." *chuckle*
