So yeah, hello there!
Like he said, I’m still alive, I’m still kickin. Things are relatively good. Still working…. which is one of the reasons you haven’t seen much of me. Doing boards for a studio that…. well let’s just say it’s not the most efficient contract I’ve ever worked. And with a few other random real life things, my ADHD has sort of scampered away from YAFGC for a while.
So to try to reign myself back to my babies, I drew this, and the above important message.

Hey Rich; you’re not the only professional artist, VFX artist, art department employee etc. that I know. So I realise how demanding those professions are. I check in on YAFGC every day to see if there’s a new one. I will continue to do so! Until the website just completely disappears. I hope that studio has some appreciation for your hard work!
I am glad to know you are still alive and kicking. as others have said you do you bud, we will be here whenever you find time to continue the wonderful stories you tell us.

No worries. As long as there’s still an update coming, it’s okay however long it takes. Some day there won’t be another update coming, let’s put that day off as long as possible.
Thanks for checking in Rich. The world is a better place for the amazing stories you tell, but as we’ve said before, you never need to apologize for their pace. Take care of yourself and your family, do good work in all the ways you’re called to, and we’ll always look forward to seeing what the YaFGC crew are up to, when the time and the muses are right!
(Do remember, though, that it’s always great to hear from you, even when it’s just to hang out on the forum for a few minutes and say hi, before diving back into your other projects!)

I’ve always liked Rich’s great sense of movement. The last panel where Glon is closing the curtain is so expressive somehow. Sometimes my mind makes it move and I have to blink to remind myself, it’s just a drawing. 😀

Hey, no worries, eh. Do what you gotta do. Until the day comes that you officially shut down I will still be checking this page multiple times a day to get my fix. yafgc is an 11 out of 10 strip. Sometimes I find myself binging from the beginning it’s that good. 😎

Thank you for this delightful and funny update, Rich. As folks have already said, don’t worry about the updates. You have a lot going on in your life that takes priority. It is always good to hear that all is well with you and the family.

Still check every Mon/Wed/Fri just in case, I don’t work anymore but I know what it’s like for those who do, especially the self-employed.
If it’s true that writers imbue each character with a part of themselves, does that makes you Bob? (Which is only 1 o short of boob anyway) And not to be hypocritical, I’ll answer to Bob as well!

I mean, the entire comic started with boobs, so…
I have an image of glon drawing everything with boobs… Beholderkin, Lewie, the wargis, swords, Castle Elegrost….
How about a panel with all the felines, from the Displacer Kitty to the Sphinx.

Hey! I’m really glad you’re doing ok irl 😀 Considering the last couple of years when a webcomic starts missing updates I start fearing the worst.
Looks-wise I personally prefer Drow to Orks, but to each their own I guess. 😉
Also that pic of Bob and Gren reminded me that I actually miss them a lot. Man, this world has grown so much from a simple monster comedy to international politics. It’s great to have so much depth and intriguing plot lines, but I think it would be nice if we could also have the occasional light-hearted slice-of-life comedy thrown in here and there too.

What bothered me more than the lack of updates was trying to check in a couple of days before this appeared–and the site was inaccessible/timed out completely.
The Internet being what it was, I was afraid YAFGC had disappeared into the Etherial Plane.
Glad that’s not the case!
Yeah, when his life gets busy it’s often the e-mail notification about the site going down that brings him back to check in on it. I treat that like it’s a sign that there’s going to be a lovely little Rich doodle done while he sorts out what’s going on.
How many boobs have we seen? Time for a re-read, counting all the Nip Slips and FFN – Does side boob count as one or two boobs?
I may or may not have been inspired by one of your comments in the earlier and made a spreadsheet counting per strip and the characters involved as I binged it for the first time. There's room for interpretation in some, but my count (allegedly) was 917 as of this strip.

Gaggia Shadowtalker, and possibly the one next to her, Ibkis Rockjaw. Though I don’t know if their surnames got updated to Bloodhand when they became queens, or what. They haven’t been updated in the cast list.
I really really REALLY missed Glon. I didnt mind no new comics I love that you take your time and I dont really want to hurry anyone up and I dont really check obssesively for new comics. But BOY did this make me SMILE! You are awesome and so is the world you created Rich!

I’m not sure if Jeremy Waller just lost all interest in WTF Comics and the spinoff Smoke Comics, or if they suffered from Author Existence Failure.
WTF Comics facebook page recently stated that the strip is dead. Over. Complete. Don’t ever look for an update. Same thing happened with Out There and it’s spinoff In Here. At least that one had a sort of ending.
Jeremy probably got tired of people hounding him to at least tie up the story. 485 pages and we still don’t know if that Earthshaker belongs to the other Iskar.
I mean, he could have done what the original writer of the "masque" comic did when he wanted to end the run and do something else: "The entire cast is riding in a car across the Desert. They look in the Rear View Mirror, and Masque is in the back seat with a bomb. Boom."
(Masque was essentially the Prequel to The Mask comics.)
Speaking of bombs…
Nearly had another heart attack yesterday when I tried to check again and got a blank page with "This site has suffered a fatal/critical error" or something like that.
Arghhh, technology!
Probably a glitch with the website's host site. It was affecting the entire website.
Subsets upon subsets: multi arc webcomics, multi year webcomics, multi decade webcomics, comics that bothered to update to https, comics that kept their domain going, comics old enough to vote and drink.
A tiny, rare group. Boobs.
