So she did get to keep that hammer, even if Odin’s son does not realize it yet, but is she truly worthy to wield that artifact?

We cant be sure Warbeard of this Pantheon have the same restrictions on HIS artifact 🙂
In the original Nordic sagas there were actually no restrictions on Thor’s hammer, he was just too badass for anyone to try and take it from him… except for that time when the Giants stole it and he had to dress up as Freya in order to sneak in and get it back XD

wasn’t it also just ridiculously heavy to the point where Þór was the only Asgardian strong enough to lift it?

*With* the aid of two magic artefacts, IIRC.

There was a lot of time, when Loki messed with it – shortening the handle, so it get harder to get a proper grit and such.

This was such an instrumental installment. Because, when she turns up later with the hammer, one of the first questions would have been "But, where was she keeping it??"

Immediately followed by "Oh. Dear God. Please, NOBODY answer that question! EVER."

Prediction: on the next page we will find out that she managed to get rid of the cursed sword by giving it to one of the gods.
