A goblin (a) has a lower target priority than Glon the half-orc (making it worse dinofodder) and (b) is less annoying than Caelin.
So having Caelin around improves the chances of getting rid of (i) Ranna and (ii) Caelin.
just let caelin talk to ranma. he stopped a white hag from eating him. maybe he can irritate ranma enough to want to go back to her realm instead of taking over the world 😛
