If Meegs had any INT worthy of her class, she'd know this was a very bad idea. Fortunately (for us) she's stupid enough to not realize antagonizing a beholder is grabbing an express ticket to death. :rose: :rose: (Since we don't have lilies)

Isn't it a wisdom thing? She can't resist the idea of knowing she's manipulating such a dangerous creature.

Deduction and reasoning are under Intelligence. Wisdom is more induction and gut calls. Either should tell her this is a bad plan.

I'd blame it on her getting plugged in to Ranna via the snakes, but she's been like this since we met her.

As Rich noted in a reply in the discussion, this goes back a long ways for Meegs. https://yafgc.net/comic/0999-congratula ... nd-then-2/

Also, remember that Meegs IS fairly powerful, she probably figures she could take him in a fight if she had to. She's probably wrong but that's fun for later.

That's really stupid, given that beholders are rather well known for that anti-magic cone.

I'm really hoping Bob gets to eat her.

Given the other things beholders eat, I doubt it.

Meegs is a Medusa, now.

Beholder are all eyeballs.

Maybe she can take him.

He'd make a nice lawn ornament....

:devilish:

Beholders have a magic nullifying cone that comes from his main eye and is immune to petrification.

We even had a strip about that, way back when.

Thing to remember about beholders, Scales. They don't actually have backs for you to stab.

You mean the lower chin, right next to the mouth with all those sharp teeth?
