I assume the title of this is reference to that great song "The Log Driver's Waltz" :)

I'll have that song stuck in my head all week. :)

ETA, for the non-Canadians:

About twenty years ago, the National Film Board here commissioned a series of three-ish-minute shorts, intended to be played during kids' programming blocks on Canadian stations. The issue was that US shows allowed more commercial time than was legal in Canada, so they needed something to fill in the extra time between shows. A number of these shorts were set to music and were Canadian in theme, including the infamous "Blackfly," "The Cat Came Back" and "The Log Driver's Waltz." Any Canadian kid who owned a TV between 1979 and 1989 will likely be able to sing any one of those fully through, given the first-line prompt.

Oh god. My childhood just rushed back so fast it gave me a bloody nose on impact. I'll be singing that damned waltz for weeks now.

What's next? Is Lucas going to smell burnt toast and collapse?

I think I've sen the one for The Cat Came Back. It fairly rocked.

But speaking of children's programming slipped into the commercial breaks, my girlfriend caught me singing Do the Circulation, and so I had to introduce her to Schoolhouse Rock, which I loved as a child.

I assume none of the other forum goers thought that Eva was a goner as i did. Either that or the song is too catching indeed :-) .

Oh, the weird coincidences of life.... I *already* had the logdriver's waltz stuck in my head....

There is another Canadian on the dig where I have been spending my weeks, and he was telling me about a block game (archaeologists do lots of silly things to pass the time while excavating) where you try to list as many heritage minutes as you can.... Which made me think of the logdrivers waltz @_@

Now it will just be stuck with me for another week, though -_-
